Resumo


The challenge of survival of organizations, coupled with technological competitiveness and agility, highlighting new management techniques, which seek to maintain the organizations in a constantly changing scenario, developing administrative systems efficiently agile and strong enough for the new standards. In this sense, technological applications allow optimized and management the logistics system in an integrated and efficient its various components: inventory, storage, transportation, order processing and manufacturing, among others. This paper aims to present the main convergence the use of the application of Lean Manufacturing as most significant tools rationed with the use of Information Technology. To this study was adopted as a research method of content analysis, checking cases in scientific papers presented in national conferences, academic and business journals, academic and specialized management sites between 1999 to 2011 using the concept of lean as a tool to gain competitive advantage in the organization. This study also used a case study; the research was conducted through a questionnaire answered by an executive who made the deployment of Lean Manufacturing in a large organization of industrial automation. The research was exploratory and descriptive, as classified in an orderly information from papers and journals on the issue, the choice is also exploratory research because data was collected through a roadmap of research seeking a better understanding of the topic, and because there are few references about the question alignment the Lean Manufacturing with Information Technology. The results show that the set of tools presented in papers and the case study were able to align actions to create business value increasing efficiency the production by eliminating waste, and improving their processes. Therefore, this study possibled to identify the tools of Lean Manufacturing with the support of Information Technology enabled general waste in value
