THE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRY: THE STRATEGIC CONTEXT FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Resumo
This paper describes how an Institution of Science and Technology (IST) uses the management of its projects to provide technologies to the industry. The paper focuses on the context of developing Booster Vehicle Survey - 30 and System Navigation and Control for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The study occurred between 2010 and 2011 and consists of reviewing the on competence, innovation and technological capabilities literature, and on the reading of reports that the defense aerospace section and of the IST projects. In the research concludes that IST acts as responsible for providing solutions for the development of sensitive technologies in partnerships with the production sector, development agencies, military forces and the government itself, as opposed to the mere use of imported technologies. The IST also encourages the integration of military programs in science, technology and innovation with universities and civil research centers, generating technological capabilities
