ADEQUACY OF THE PROFILE OF THE IT PROFESSIONAL IN DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE

Resumo


The purpose of this paper is to provide subsidies for allocation of the IT professional with ideal profile to assume the different roles exercised during the software development process, starting from the presupposition that some profiles are more appropriate to the exercised roles. The theoretical reference involves the intelligence types, the psychological types, their influence in the development of the competence, the exercised roles during the software development process and the adaptation at the role. The methodology is of explorative nature with the research based on quantitative investigation, although it involves a strong qualitative component. The data collection instrument is composed by three tests: Multiple Intelligences Test, Psychological Type Test and Adaptation of the IT Professional Test. The analysis data revealed the ideal profile of the roles with base in the adaptation level among the researched professionals, with the use of the indutive/analitic/comparative method. The achieved results indicated that there are more appropriate profiles for the roles exercised during the software development process.
