Resumo


This work aims to analyze the adoption of open source software (OSS), through the Theory of Planned Behavior. It contributed to identify the degree of adoption of OSS and the influence of university in the adoption of OSS by their students. The research is characterized as an exploratory study, which used a survey as a research strategy. The research was applied in a non-profit institution located in the metropolitan region of Sao Paulo, and data were collected through a questionnaire, which were applied in students of different courses of this institution. The research made contributions to the understanding of the OSS adoption phenomenon. Despite the low adoption of SL, this research identified that the university environment influenced the adoption of SL.
