Resumo
The general subject of this dissertation covers the adoption of information technologies as a management strategy in corporate organizations. Inside this subject, the objective of this work is analyze the relevant factors in a Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implantation in a administrative area for a High Education Institution - HEI. This research defines itself as a study case, in the fashion that, besides the bibliographic revision regarding the impact of integrated systems in the organizations, it's also based in a deep research of a singular experience that allows the description of what stages a HEI must adopt to obtain success in the complex task of integrate your information systems in a single relational database capable to compile accounting, operational and management relationships. The analysis allowed the conclusion that a miscommunication occurred regarding the new system, as well as the lack of a closer relationship between the project team and the final users in each department affected by e change, causing a resistance from the employees to adopt the new practices. However, the commitment and the support of the higher management has occurred, leading to a higher confidence from the collaborators to the project
