The relationship between companies and investors is important for the reinforcement of the corporative governance practiced by the companies. This descriptive-qualitative study analyzed the performance of the information technology tools applied to the virtual investor care, practiced by listed banks at BOVESPA Stock Exchange (banks listed in differentiated levels of corporative governance as well as banks listed in the traditional market). The main results indicate that the most frequently tools are: site, email, electronic form for submission, FAQ, map of the site and video-conference. It could also be observed that the banks listed in differentiated levels of corporative governance had better performance comparing to the banks listed in the traditional market. From ten analyzed banks listed in the traditional market, nine took the last places in the rank among the 25 analyzed banks in the field research.
