Resumo
Created initially to ensure good practice in project management in the organization, the Project Management Office – PMO – has been expanded to a more strategic role. It is being viewed by the company as a bridge between projects and business success, a tool to obtain information and help decision-makers. This study aims to present a proposal and benefits in creating a PMO for an IT department responsible for manage and implement IT Infrastructure projects in a Telecom company. The structuring and implementation of the PMO aims to improve the service to the customer and visibility of the performance of projects to senior management through the generation of more precise, agile and reliable information
