The environment for e-businesses in the brazilian states: a proposal of analysis

Resumo
The business environment has suffered several changes, nationally and globally. These changes are consequences of, beyond other factors, the increasing in use of Information and Communication Technologies. Due to this, this paper aims to propose an evaluation system for the e-business environments in Brazilian states, collaborating for development and analysis of public politics and investment decisions in the IT and managerial sectors. Their justifications are absence of researches about this subject and expansion of the e-business in the country. For this, it was used the methodology of the international report elaborated by the British magazine “The Economist”, what became possible, a priori, the comparison between the States’ environment (in this paper, Alagoas and São Paulo) and the country’s one. The research concluded that, using this methodology, it’s possible to analyse the e-business environment in all the states, creating a ranking with the e-readiness level of each one
