This article aims pointing the barriers faced by technology-based firms, particularly software developers firms, located in technology incubators, in the view of the participants of the process. Those organizations were selected because they are representatives of technology-based firms, group where the innovation is absolutely essential for organizational survivor. The chosen method was a quantitative research, by questionnaire application to the entrepreneurs of these firms. Beyond the commercial, management, financial and production barriers mentioned in the literature, it was identified technological barriers that are faced by this type of firms. Therefore, it was realized a gap among the software developers firms incubated and the institutions linked with the technological incubator (universities and/or research institutions), and also a lack of technological incubator managerial support to these firms
