With the intention of contribute to the existing literature adding to this one more alternative of research of the effects of IT in the performance of the companies, the present paper aimed investigate the impact of the utilization of ERP systems in the performance of the transforming industries of RMR. The research used the inductive method and it fits concerning the goals in exploratory research, concerning the proceedings in survey, concerning the approach of the problem in quantitative and qualitative. The collected information revealed that: a) most of the researched companies use national ERP systems; b) to the interviewees there was an improvement in the behavior of several indicators, however this improvement is not especially attributed to the utilization of ERP systems, but to the capacity of management of their administrators and of your employees' pledge; c) It was verified the existence of a significant difference in the variations of the behavior in the some indicators.
