The importance of small and middle-sized enterprises in the national economy has been pointed out, in the last decade, as one of the most relevant and promising activities for the reduction of the economics unbalances and for the employment generation. In this scenery, high technology enterprises play an important role by manufacturing high value products. A large obstacle pointed out by national researchers to the creation and consolidation of enterprises is the lack of credit in the financial institutions or private investors. In this manner, this research proposes to identify the situation and the necessity of financing for entrepreneurs and the pre-requirements needed to obtain credit in the private credit institutions. From the interviews were concluded that the venture capitalists invest capital in the professionals of the enterprise and not on the product or in the service offered. Besides that, the results indicate that most entrepreneurs ignore Venture Capital and, in the other side, the amount invested by Venture Capital in Brazil is small comparing with another countries and it is basically invested in non-technological established enterprises.
