Resumo

In the context of contemporary culture, higher education increasingly has a strategic importance for economic and social development, being considered a mechanism for social advancement and also an education that needs to be identified with the theory of emancipation. Considering this need to identify human emancipation in practices, maker culture and organizational project management concepts are brought into the debate. In methodological terms, the references of qualitative research were used, using observation to collect data. The research subjects were a professor and their respective students from the Administration course at an HEI located in a city in the state of Santa Catarina. It was found that learning based on maker culture can provide academics with increasingly important and necessary skills for the 21st century, such as problem solving, digital literacy and critical thinking and peer collaboration.
