Resumo

Since the beginning of the 21st Century we have seen a growing interest on topics concerning Information Literacy in Brazilian Information Science Studies. In most recent years, Information Literacy has been researched by different points of view in Brazil, but it is still occasional academic researches relate to privacy in social networks as Facebook. Questioning these possible implications, this study aims to address some of the current question over the changing nature of privacy by analyzing the results of an investigation about Facebook users. By using simple survey methodology, from March 20 to May 20 of 2015, a web form was set up in order to collect data about online behavior of primary and secondary teachers in São Paulo. The data collected suggest that teachers are not exactly worried about online privacy as an important topic of democracy and citizenship.
