Resumo
The study aims to analyze by consensus the contingency variables, leadership styles and organizational slack prevailing in a textile factory in southern Brazil. To this end, it has developed descriptive research, survey or survey with quantitative and implementation of the Consensus for data analysis. The sample comprises 33 leaders, foremen, supervisors and the like of a textile industry based in the state of Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. The results demonstrate that the industry leaders characterized with a prospector strategy. It was observed as the contingency variables, there is a moderate opinions consensus on Environmental Uncertainty. As for contingencies Structure and Technology, the highlight was the consensus in balance and moderate respectively. With regard to the leadership styles, the results indicated moderate consensus for Structure/Task, Consideration/Relationship and emphasis on production for most of the issues involved, and strong consensus for the Predictive Accuracy. So much for the slack resources (Human/Personal Space/Physical and time) and for the budget gap (Attitude/Propensity to create slack, Manipulation/Participation, Detection and institutionalization off) indicated moderate consensus and opinions in balance. The conclusion is based on consensus, the contingent variables Uncertainty and Technology, the leadership style Predictive Accuracy, clearance of human resources/personnel, time and budget clearance Handling/Participation, detection and clearance of institutionalization are predominant in the textile industry analyzed, demonstrating convergence in the opinion of the leaders involved in the organizational activities of the company.
