Resumo
The social networks have occupied more space in youth activities. The success of Facebook is targeted largely by the possibility of rapprochement between people and ease of use. Knowing how social networks, especially Facebook, can help in the teaching-learning process is still new in the school. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the use of a Facebook group to support the teaching-learning process in a discipline in high school. The research was conducted with 24 students and a teacher lecturer of the Department of Integration Project I, the class of the 1st year of the Technical Course in Clothing, Campus Ibirama the Federal Institute Catarinense, Santa Catarina. Characterized as a case study, the research was the use of testimonials and analysis of posts on the group's page in the social network. Through qualitative analysis employed the use of techniques of content analysis and the Wordle application usage for data analysis on the network. As results stand out: that the use of Facebook is valued as an important collaborative tool between students and students and teachers with important information that emerged in communications and would hardly be detected by other mechanisms. The authorship of the students is also highlighted, as well as more dynamic, interaction among students as well as a tool to improve the class relationship, to allow the construction of a collaborative environment and at the same time critical.
