The implementation of the concept of collaborative knowledge is needed in modern enterprises, especially when it comes to Software Engineering. There are major benefits of implementing Knowledge Management used by the process of software development, such as the appropriate process control, internal organization of the company, standardization, processes alignment, centralizing information, among other competitive advantages that can be obtained. Throughout this work will be presented studies based on theoretical concepts, grounded in academic literature. Based on these concepts, it will be developed a proposal for improving the development process in an IT company which was chosen as object of these study. Concludes this paper the identifying some aspects that must be worked on implementation of Knowledge Management in the process of software development.
