Resumo

This paper attempts to verify the impacts caused in the financial indexes by the adoption of transparency measures through the analysis of the board of directors’ report from the companies listed in the Industrial Building sector contained in BM&FBovespa. As a result of that, the methodology adopted in this study was quanti-qualitative using descriptive and documental research techniques, since the subject of this research has never been developed before. The population was composed of 17 participating companies from the New Market of Bovespa which, with other data, was statistically calculated by SPSS software using Mann-Whitney and T test for Independent Samples. The result allows the inference that there were no significant relationship between the adoption and communication of transparency measures and the financial indexes.
