The Supply Chain Management is recognized as an important area for innovation and investment in Information of Technology (IT) area. The globalization has created a new business environment where IT provides opportunities for constant updates and business integration, as it reinforces the treatment process, dissemination and transfer of information. In this sense, the companies that provide IT services can provide the technological needs of some companies, that, for economic reasons, prefer to subcontract these services. The goal of this study is to understand how the companies that provide IT services merge into the supply chain. To this end, a case study with a IT services organization was conducted. As a main conclusion, we can point that the outsourcing of IT services in the supply chain adds value for both companies as contractors for contractors.
