Co-operatives and social media: mapping of Minas Gerais co-operatives

Resumo
The overall objective of the research reported was to map the use of social media in the Minas Gerais co-operatives, identifying the main tools employed. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with 610 co-operatives, representing 80% of the membership of the Minas Gerais co-operative system. The study sought to identify policies to monitor and training, barriers and advantages of the social media. The survey revealed that only 16% of co-operatives use social media, 19% monitor the environment, 9% have policies trainings, 72% didn’t identify barriers and 58% enumerated several benefits. The work addressed the issues social media and co-operatives.
