Resumo

In some health courses at a distance, there is great difficulty the student during the learning of certain subjects, such as the content related to the practice of intensive care, mechanical ventilation, and especially cardiopulmonary physiology, so we developed a 3D simulator cardiopulmonary interaction in order to assist in the teaching of mechanical ventilation in intensive therapy. The simulator uses tools from Google Android platform, with features of software engineering and object-oriented language, seeking to meet the quality standards of ISO9126 standard. At this stage of the study, exploratory testing conducted by a multidisciplinary team composed of four professionals (physiotherapist, system analyst, computer engineer and analyst chart), as subcharacteristics the adequacy, accuracy, security access, readability, functionality, behavior towards time and resources, analyzability, modifiability, testability, ability to be installed and coexistence, were partially met. It is suggested by this study that the simulator can be useful in the teaching and learning of mechanical ventilation to students and health professionals who work in intensive care units.
